Just a few suggestions
Speed - It should be a fast game. Attacks, switching weapons, jumping and running fairly quick. This will keep all the a.d.d children very happy. Like in counterstrike how its basically instant weapon change, a very good feature.
Combos - It should have lots of combos you can learn to allow for more moves and to increase the micro skill of the game. You can still keep them fairly simple though.
Attack Maneuvers - With melee weapons you should be able to do multiple attack maneuvers. Such as leap attack, jump left or right and attack, do a spin attack, parry and attack.
Mounts - There should definitly be mounts and attacks you can do whilst on them. Maybe the higher level you are, the faster ur mount goes.

yeah, game speed something we're working on, weapon switching will become instant soon. please note that, in the video, the slowness of the melee is not limited by the game, you are in no way forced to fight in that kind of turn based manner, also, we could be attacking at each other at faster, and at the same time if we wanted, this i don't know why, but, the way i was dueling with my brother in that video just seems to be a customary way of playing that we have developed (probably because having 2 people attack at each other once is a new feature for us so we still play "old-school")
thanks for your input by the way, its really good to see your interested and your absolutely right about this, just about everyone that's seen the video has said this to me, hopefully it will be in a good place by the time we release.

This mod reminds me of a mod for an old Star Wars game called the Open Jedi Project that focused around lightsaber dueling - it had a very similar system for blocking and swinging, parrying, et c.
You guys might wanna check it out for some inspiration at some point.

I actually prefer the slowness of it. I hate humping each other while swinging a sword like I've seen so much in, in a game like Darkfall.

this was my #1 concern, that the video seemed a bit slow.

Having Alpha tested KC, i think that you will be surprised at the actual speed of the game play. Making it any faster would wreck the feel of the game, and turn it into a quake look-a-like. The video dosnt do the speed much justice, the video is more of an example of what can be seen/done.

Wall run is always excellent I find in more fast-pace third person shooters. It might go over well with a game like this.
I always enjoyed it in the Jedi Knight series.
edit: hehe just read on the website your mod use to involve ninja movements back in your first build, heheh.
