Hey, I love the art direction in the mod, and I think you guys are on solid footing. But there are already a number of Melee type mods for HL2 and they compete with each other for an already small (but expanding) market niche. So I had an idea that you guys could do to try and set yourselves away from the pack: have hordes/mobs of basic enemy soldiers. It would work similar to Dynasty Warriors (a formula too underused), where each player is more of a General, or special character. So as you go, you cut through swaths of mobs and feel more like in the middle of a huge battle. You would have to tip the tide of battle to your favor and try and capture points on the map.
I figure it might be alittle more work then you were thinking, but would make this standout a bit better. Just an idea.

yeah, i have been grappling with similar ideas myself. but as it stands, the work and the technology required to make such a thing happen means that it is likely to be beyond this source mod. (its one of many ideas that could be taken into a sequel game in future)

I think what really makes this game awesome is that it's a mod of Half Life 2, and it's using the Source Engine. If this were to be an indie game, it would be only kind of cool, because there are games out there already like this, for example, Savage 2. But, the last time I checked, there are no other mods for HL2 like this one, and that is what makes it so unique and awe inspiring. I came when I saw the video, just so ya know.
